  • u forget deva, harris jeyaraj, s.a. rajkumar,…

these ppl seriously misjudge their audience! i am actually surprised- some of deva’s kannada songs are so pleasant and sound so original! then why not in tamizh?!

  • Matangi, these people at least compose the same tune again and again. But this guy has not even altered one line of the original composition. I got furious when i first listened to it.You must listen to the original song. It’s a wonderful one.

  • i have! it s wonderful indeed.. oh n dont say the others compose same tunes again n again.. u might ve listened to the ‘mottu vandhu’ song in kushi? deva. the 2nd stanza, 3rd n 4th lines- its the same one as the old song ‘chittu kuruvi’ frm puthiya paravai.. the aa haa part.. n deva has xeroxed many hindi songs- the old ones, of course, sme of them being- kabhi kabhi mere dil mein, bindiya chamkegi, etc. they r all copy cats!

  • @Matangi!Oh no!I don’t really know what to say!How can people lead such a life?This is disgusting!

  • Dear friend

  • @Mr Antony,

I am sorry if i had hurt you unintentionally. I never meant to do that in the first place. Well, as a fan of your foot-tapping music, i was furious when i first listened to it. Couldn’t digest it. That’s why the post.

Okay, I believe you. But the whole media knows you are the music director. Frankly speaking, not many buy music CDs . Most, like me, go to sites that provide free download links. Am i to blame if those music sources quoted you as the music director?

Well, if you want to make it really big, please don’t make people ruin your talent this way. Please told the person that composed the song that your fans are angry.

And i am quite happy that you stopped by to explain things. Keep the great work going and i wish you all success in your future endeavors!

  • Thank dear

Hey this is a major problem with our indian music directors.

Last year Harris jayaraj copied ” All Rise ” in ” june poonal ”
    This year A.R.Rahman copied ” Daddy Yanki ” in ” Taxi ”

    Unfortunately these are big hits.

Is there any law in india to stop this.

    Hi Swetha,
I think taxi taxi is not a copy as u say…its jus slightly based on tht track….bt these ppl who call themselves as good composers copy each and every line from the original, thinking tht ppl wud nt know those songs…..big headache…..

  • @Swetha,I have heard about the June Ponaal issue but the taxi plagiarism is news to me. Why even Rahman would do such a deed is surprising indeed! Hmm, shame on them!

I don’t know if there is a law for this but am quite sure there must be one.

Anyway, thanks a ton for stopping by to comment.

  • @Surya, I do not know about the original song , so can’t say much! Even i can’t fathom what’s wrong with these people! Power i guess, is what motivates them to do things! Fools!

Thanks for voicing out your opinion!

    Hi

I bought the original cd of kadhalil vilunden.
Unnakenna nan is not done by Vijay Antony.
The credit is given to P.V.Prasath.
    Who is he?
    Any idea ?????

  • @Swetha, I googled this issue out and found out that it’s the director of the movie. I am not sure though;)

    Hi

All rise is not a copy cat work.
You better listen to the song again.

  • Swetha wrote:

    Hi Harris

I didn’t mean that you have fully copied the song. ( Only the beginning ).
Any how I appreciate all your other work.
All the best for your Varanam Ayiram.

  • Vijay who?
    :D

Check this out. Youtube for Pritam+inspiration
    And be scandalised :D

  • @Mac, OMG! This is indeed outrageous! Is this what people have been doing ? Makes me very sad! Morons!

  • Hi RampantHeart,

I believe there ought to be an annual “Lift” awards for all songs that have been “inspired”…

It seems the “Haule Haule” song from SRK’s “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” is also a rip-off from Adnan Sami’s “Kabhi Nahi” with the Big B.

But Sami is not taking any action because the producer of the movie, Yash Chopra, is instrumental in constructing his house in Mumbai ! Talk of mutual understanding !

Man, these things happen everywhere I guess! I dont really know why people stoop this low! Unless or otherwise the concerned people do something about all this, plagiarism will not be put an end to:(
