I loved the book as well. But it's very hard to impress me one hundred percent. I felt that this was a wonderful book. And it was through the details that Pamuk discussed about the conflicts of the old n the new the islam and non-islamist, the turmoil in Ka's thoughts. The politics of Kars was just a metaphore I thought. Brilliantly written, though it might be a tad dissapointing to this current generation who wants everything in a Micro SD card sized version. Call me old school, but I feel this is how books ought to be written! Aww. I felt that this was a wonderful book.
