I prepared a very BIG list first, but decided to cut it down to 30 40 in the last minute. I will read these first and make a similar list later.
That’s a nice list! I’m particularly delighted to see Candide, it’s a great book, a real golden oldie that gets forgotten every now and then. Dostoevsky’s The Possessed is amazing, too.
@Tashfeen,
I really look forward to reading all the books!
I will make sure I will include “The possessed” to my next list! Thanks for the recommendation!
I’ve read very few books but luckily I did find one of those here: The Little Prince! You’ll finish it in one sitting in about 3 hours with ease and love it!
I have seen the films ‘To kill a .. and ‘ One flew over…’. I have the films ‘the Color Purple’ and ‘A Clockwork Orange’ and will see them later; my movie collection is 1100 strong. All the four films are popular and you must see the first one at least!
All the best then! I’m sure you will enjoy your cerebral food!
P.S.: I’m glad you also made the mistake and I am not the odd man out. It is ‘Mockingbird’ [one word].
@Vikas,
I am not a movie buff! So, my knowledge about movies is zilch!
Anyway, thanks for stopping by to have your say!
PS: Didn’t know it! Thanks, I have corrected the mistake.
I cleared the cache and checked it on more than one browser but it still shows ‘mocking bird’! Did you correct it really?!!
@Vikas, I just did!
Hv u read Shantaram by Gregory Roberts?
@Anantha,
Not yet! The book will be in my next to-read list!
Three men in a boat is a must must must read
absolutely hilarious
@Nivi,
Thanks for stopping by to comment! I shall certainly read the book!
How many did you get through then?
There’s quite a few in the list i haven’t read or even heard of so i shall be making a mental note to search those authors up.
Only 4 from this list
But the thing is, I decided to stay off books from early October and haven’t read anything till date. Will probably start reading in the first week of January. I read random classics from June to September though. You may trace the books I read on Shelfari. I am rampantheart there as well.
[...] as to what I have accomplished thus far, in the reading arena. I earlier wrote a post on books that I had planned to read in 2009. I have only covered 4 books from the list but have no qualms about it. I decided to stay off books [...]
